Enough belly-aching and on to the good stuff:
The former housecat brothers Gunnar and Thor have adapted to outdoor life. As they have managed not to be dinner for something bigger by now, we assume they will be long lived barn cats. Life truly is different out here, I had forgotten the quietness of my childhood, in the WV hills. I can hear the mated pair of hawks down the valley as they approach on their daily hunt and the sound of the wind and rain are all amplified by the lack of “people” noises. I did manage to get the corner that will house the wood stove finished, and as soon as we are fully settled in will post pictures of our little farmhouse. Brush-hogging has been the chore this week, slowly clearing parts of the property that I can get to with the little baby tractor without becoming one of those “hey ya’ll watch this!” videos on Instagram. We also made it back to church after a long absence which frankly has been good for my soul!
Thats all for now but I will leave you with a few scenes from the farmstead for this week!
