We are window-shopping cows for the farmstead. We visited Pfarr Farms in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio to get to know a little about the Scottish Highland breed. We have pretty much settled on them for Valhalla. Honestly, they will be less for meat than just to watch and enjoy (Although if times get too tough their meat is some of the healthiest around). Pfarr Farms is a good spot to learn about Highlands up close and personal. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area! Hopefully, in about 18 months we will have our first pair! Stay tuned.
